George Fox Polar Plunge
CONCEPT | ILLUSTRATION | PRODUCTION
George Fox University has an annual Polar Plunge event and this year I was tasked with designing the sweatshirt and all the promotional material. I was given a lot of creative freedom on this project. The only requirements was to use an iceberg or glacier and the shirt design could only be one color.
I was inspired by the rough ragged edges of glaciers and the interesting lines running through them. I wanted to make the design feel geometric while also playful. I accomplished this by creating sporadic and random ice shapes, using the lines to make it feel 3D. I used the element of confinement to unify the text as well as the iceberg.
